Breaking: President Tinubu Appoints Kekere-Ekun As 23rd Substantive CJN, 2nd Female CJN
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has administered the oath of office on Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) at ceremony in Abuja on Monday, making her the second woman to occupy the highest judiciary office in the history of Nigeria.

Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun has officially taken the oath of office as the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) at a ceremony administered by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the swearing in took place at the Aso Rock Villa's Council Chambers, Abuja, on Monday.
To this effect, Justice Kekere-Ekun becomes the 23rd CJN and the second woman in the history of Nigeria to hold the prestigious judiciary office.
OTN News recalls that her appointment follows Senate confirmation last week.
She had been serving in an acting capacity since August after the retirement of Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.
For the records, OTN News further recalls that Aloma Mariam Mukhtar (GCON) is the first female Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) between July 2012 to November 2014.
