Wike Renames Abuja Int’l Conference Centre After Tinubu, Says, "Anybody That Would Make Use of It Must Pay Irrespective of Their status"

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports as gathered that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has renamed the Abuja International Conference Centre (AICC), after President Bola Tinubu, adding that anybody that would use the newly renovated ICC must be made to pay irrespective of his or her status.
OTN News further reports as gathered that the minister, while speaking at the commissioning of the edifice by the Tinubu in Abuja, on Tuesday, said that the ‘Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre’ is a world-class structure requiring constant maintenance.
According to him, with the permission of the President, anybody that would use the newly renovated ICC must be made to pay irrespective of his or her status.
Also, speaking at the event, the President himself, Tinubu urged the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to ignore busybodies and naysayers distracting him from his work.
In his speech, President Tinubu said that the center’s rehabilitation is part of his administration’s efforts to “change the way we do things and reflect us as people of quality, people of character.”
He urged Wike to focus more on his work in the FCT and ignore busybodies and bystanders.
“Don’t pay attention to the busybody and the bystanders. Whatever they say, continue with your good work. You’re a transformational leader, you have the foresight and determination to succeed.” the president said.
