ABEOKUTA, Ogun State -As part of efforts to reduce road crashes and promote road safety awareness during the Ember Months, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Celebrity Special Marshals, Ogun State Unit, has launched a road safety jingle aimed at educating and enlightening motorists and road users.

The jingle, which was officially unveiled in Abeokuta, is part of a broader campaign to promote Road Safety awareness and reduce road traffic crashes during the Ember Months, which are notorious for increased road accidents.

While speaking with OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News during the virtual launch of the jingles, the National Head, FRSC Celebrity Special Marshals Unit, Julie Chi-Nwaoha said the jingle is designed to be catchy and memorable, with a clear message that promotes Safe driving practices and Road Safety awareness.

She added that "We are committed to using every available platform to promote road safety awareness and reduce road crashes."

The Unit Coordinator Kehinde Soaga said "This jingle is just one part of our broader efforts to make our roads safer for all users."

He added that the new road safety jingle is available on various social media platforms, and wil be played on local radio stations and other media outlets throughout the remaining part of the year.

The FRSC Celebrity Special Marshals, Ogun State Unit, is a group of prominent individuals who have been appointed as Special Marshals by the FRSC to help promote road safety awareness and support the Corps' efforts to reduce road crashes.

Speaking further on the strategic end-of-the-year media campaign, which warns against the dangers of drunk driving and the need for commuters to take responsibility for their safety, the Cordinator, FRSC Celebrity Special Marshals, Ogun State Unit, Hon.Kehinde Soaga revealed that the unit is open to corporate partnerships and sponsorships of its additional campaigns.

OTN News recalls that the FRSC Celebrity Special Marshals, Ogun State Unit, is a group of prominent individuals appointed by the FRSC to promote road safety awareness and support the Corps' efforts to reduce road crashes especially during the Ember Months, (September to December) which are notorious for increased road accidents, hence, the has launch of various initiatives to promote road safety awareness and reduce road crashes during this period by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other partners of the corps.

OTN News also recalls that the National Head, Celebrity Special Marshal Unit of the FRSC, Julie Chi-Nwaoha flagged off Road Safety Campaigns in Lagos last week, gathering major stakeholders in road safety management and the automotive industry to make commitments towards road safety on the highways during the forthcoming yuletide season.6
