Breaking News: Ogun Government Commissions Mapoly 99.7 FM Ojere Abeokuta on 15th Combined Convocation Day

History was made in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital today as the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun ably represented by the Deputy Governor, Engr. Mrs. Noimot Salako-Oyedele Commissioned the newest Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) Focused Campus Radio in town -Mapoly 99.7 FM at the Ojere Campus of the 46-year-old institution.

The Ojere campus of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta came alive today as a jinx was broken at the historic Commissioning of the campus Radio station of the 46-year-old state-owned Polytechnic by the Governor of Ogun State, ably represented by the Deputy Governor, Engr. Mrs. Noimot Salako-Oyedele. 

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the commissioning of the campus Radio focused on relevant Sustainable Development Goals as clearly articulated by the United Nations was a major highpoint of the 15th Combined Convocation Ceremony of the Polytechnic spanning through nine consecutive academic sessions dated 2015/2016 to the 2023/2024 sessions.

OTN News further reports that earlier,  the Ogun Governor who was physically present as the Special Guest of Honour, Moderator and the Restorer of the Polytechnic, reiterated the commitment of his administration to uplifting the frontline Polytechnic to enviable heights among the comity of Polytechnics in the country via provision of befitting infrastructural facilities.

The Governor, who thereafter had to leave to attend to urgent national assignments, was ably represented by his Deputy Governor, Engr Mrs.Noimot Salako-Oyedele, who proceeded to the campus Radio studios for the commissioning of the station, in the company of the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof Abayomi Arigbabu, flanked by the Governing Council Chairman, Emeritus Professor Kamaldeen Balogun, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Arc. Dr. Babatunde 'Koye Jolaoso, the Deputy Rector, Dr. Mrs. Yetunde Lanre-Iyanda, The Polytechnic Registrar, Mrs Olubunmi Elewodalu, among other top management staff of the institution.

The Deputy Governor, who had earlier commissioned the new School of Environmental Sciences edifice at the Ojere campus of the state-owned Polytechnic, thereafter delivered her  goodwill message live at the studios of campus Radio station during a brief interactive session with the Programmes Head, Ambassador Olufemi Orunsola.
