APC Swears In Humanitarian Minister, Nentawe As National Party Chairman

As the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Swears In Nentawe as National Party Chairman, the immediate past Chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has thrown his weight behind the newly-appointed APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, describing his emergence as “strategic and timely” for the party’s growth.

APC Swears In Humanitarian Minister, Nentawe As National Party Chairman

The National Executive Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress has sworn in the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development, Yilwatda Nentawe, as substantive chairman of the party.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, who heads the Progressive Governors’ Forum, announced the motion at the ongoing 14th meeting of the Committee holding at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.

The motion, seconded by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, saw the Minister sworn in thereafter.

OTN News further reports that Nentawe took the oath of office at 02:50 pm in the presence of party bigwigs during the 14th NEC meeting holding at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja, on Thursday.

It would be recalled tbaf Nentawe, who hails from Plateau State, North Central Zone, was the APC’s Governorship candidate in the 2023 elections.

Meanwhile, following the announcement and swearing in of Nentawe as the new substantive National Chairman of the party, Plateau State has experienced a spree of street jubilation.

With the emergence of the new National Party Chairman,speculations about who takes over from the immediate past party Chairman who recently resigned his appointment, citing health concerns have now been laid to rest.
