Everyday For The Thieves, One Day For The Owner: Vandal Meets Waterloo on Electricity Transmission Line

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports as gathered that the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has said that a yet-to-be-identified electricity vandal has met his waterloo in Ezillo, Ebonyi State, while trying to tamper with Tower 34 along the Nkalagu-Abakaliki 132kV transmission line.
OTN News further reports as gathered that the TCN said that security operatives were the one who informed the them, about the incident on July 19, 2025.
Furthermore, it was also gathered that the accomplices to the crimes fled the location when their effort to vandalise the property went awry.
In a photo post made on X on Thursday, July 24, the TCN said, “Vandal electrocuted at Ezillo, Ebonyi State, while attempting to tamper with Tower 34 along the Nkalagu-Abakaliki 132kV transmission line.
“Security operatives informed TCN on July 19, 2025, that the accomplices fled after the incident,” the TCN wrote on X.
OTN News observes that Vandals have continued to rake havoc on various electricity property across the nation.
In the northern part of the nation, bandits have also been known to vandalise electricity property in the region leaving residents in total blackout.
