The Asero High School Old Students Association (AHSOSA) has elected new national executives to steer the affairs of the association for the next two years, following a keenly observed election held on Saturday. December 20, 2025.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA OTN News reports as reliably gathered that the exercise marked a notable departure from previous practice, as all positions were returned unopposed.

A total of 90 members were duly accredited before the commencement of the election. At the close of voting, Mr. Ariyo Adekanmbi, FCA, emerged as the National President-elect, polling the full 90 votes cast, an outcome widely seen as a demonstration of confidence in his leadership.

Also elected into the new national executive council were Mr. Mutiu Aileru as Vice President 1 and Miss Tomisin Abogunja as Vice President 2. Olukunle Idowu was elected Secretary, while Miss Funke Bankole emerged as Assistant Secretary.

Other members of the executive include Mrs. Nofisat Olayiwola as Treasurer and Samuel Adesanya as Financial Secretary. Yusuf Adejumo was elected Social Secretary, while Muinat Adebiyi and Tumininu Adebayo emerged as Auditor I and Auditor II respectively. Michael Ogundele was elected as the Public Relations Officer.

Addressing the gathering after the election, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Mrs. Oluwanbe congratulated the newly elected executives and charged them to remain committed to the ideals and objectives of the association. She urged them to build on existing achievements and strive to surpass the accomplishments of their predecessors.

The chairman also commended members for the peaceful and orderly conduct of the election, describing the process as a testament to the unity and maturity of the association. She further noted that the unopposed nature of the elections reflected a broad consensus among members.
