Abeokuta Sports Club Set for Inauguration of Taoheed Awodele Led Executives, Investiture of Patrons, Induction of New Members

One of the oldest sports club in Nigeria, Abeokuta Sports Club, is set to Inaugurate Alhaji Taoheed Adelaja Awodele and Honourable Salako on Saturday December 6, 2025.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports as gathered from a statement released by the General Secretary of the club, Lion Alhaji Shafih Adeyemi Amusa, that the event, billed to be graced by prominent Nigerians, will also serve as a window for the investiture of patrons and matrons of the club as well as the induction of new members.
According to Amusa, the event expects its Grand Patron, the Executive Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun (CON, MFR) and the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, who is the Mother of Day, Her Excellency Engr. (Mrs.) Noimot Salako-Oyedele.
The statement further reads that the Life Patron of the club, the Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, HRM Oba (Dr) Adedotun Aremu Gradebo (CFR) will be in attendance at the occasion to give royal blessings to the new executives, patrons, matrons and inducted members.
Expected as the Chairman of the occasion and Chief Launcher is Ogun West Senatorial district Senator, who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriations, Distinguished Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola popularly known as Yayi.
In addition, the Father of the Day at the event is Chief Engr. Mutiu Owolabi Adebowale, the Gbadegesin of Egbaland.
Similarly, the Chairman, Mainland Group, Chief Laide Fowosere is also expected as Special Guest of Honour at the event.
