'Establishing Oko Opo Foundation is My Self-Actualization Stage in Life' -Pelican Valley CEO Adeyemo

As his brainchild NGO bags the Humanitarian Award of the year 2015, the Chief Executive Officer of Pelican Nigeria Limited, Ambassador (Dr) Babatunde Adeyemo has revealed that the establishment of Oko Opo Foundation, which supports widows, orphans, and vulnerable members of society, marks his attainment of self actualization phase in his life.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) reports that the frontline real estate mogul, Ambassador Adeyemo made this known during the weekend in Abeokuta when he received the Humanitarian Award of the Year for the foundation by Beauty of Aging Initiative and Infolite Books.

In his words, “Oko Opo Foundation is my own self actualization state, nothing gives my joy more than touching lives and building institutions, the foundation is one of my life-long ambitions and covenant with my creator. It’s a programme I am planning to integrate my generations yet unborn into, God’s willing”

The foundation, founded in 2023, was recognized for her dedication to supporting widows, orphans, and vulnerable members of society through empowerment, welfare support, and long-term development initiatives.

The award was presented during a public lecture on mental health of Senior Citizens: Our Roles, which brought stakeholders, media practitioners, students together at the Press Center, Iwe Royin.
