2026 Submit: Tinubu Departs Lagos For Europe Day After Eyo Festival

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports as gathered that days after president Bola Tinubi arrived in Lagos to spend the end-of-year holidays following official visits to Borno and Bauchi states, the president on Sunday departed Lagos for Europe as part of his end-of-year break, ahead of his official visit to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
OTN News further reports as gathered that the president is scheduled to participate in the 2026 edition of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit, following an invitation from the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the weeklong event brings together leaders from government, business and civil society to advance global conversations on sustainable development.
The 2026 summit will be held under the theme, ‘The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go’, and will focus on connecting innovation, finance and people to drive sustainable growth.
The summit is expected to hold in early January, and the president is expected to return to Nigeria after the summit.
