Breaking: Nigeria Police Appoints CSP Benjamin Hundeyin of Lagos as New Force Public Relations Officer

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports as gathered that following the elevation of DCP Muyiwa Adejobi, from the force public relations officer's office to deputy commissioner of police, Delta State, the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has approved the appointment of CSP Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO).
OTN News further reports as gathered that the force made this announcement in a statement released on Thursday by the outgoing force PRO, DCP Muyiwa Adejobi.
According to the statement, the Inspector-General has tasked Hundeyin to deploy his experience in communications and security to strengthen police-public relations and enhance the image of the Force.
OTN News observes that Hundeyin, a seasoned communicator, holds a BA in English Language from Lagos State University and an MSc in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan.
He also possesses a Certificate in Civil-Military Coordination from the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre in Jaji, Kaduna State.
He is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).
CSP Hundeyin has held several strategic positions, including Police Public Relations Officer at Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos; Administration Officer at the Force Public Relations Department, Abuja; and Police PRO for Lagos State Command.
However, he was also part of Nigeria’s contingent to the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan (UNAMID) in 2020.
