OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that British-Nigerian singer, songwriter and rapper, Azeez Adeshina Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has confidently announced that his music remains a dominant force, despite the backlash he faced following the death of his former signee, Mohbad.
OTN News further reports that Marley, who took to his social media handles to express his excitement over his new song which gained widespread acceptance after the public promised never to listen to his music again, said that no one can cancel his brand.
According to him, “Who said no more Marlians? You guys are now enjoying my song? No one can cancel my brand,” the rapper boldly declared, signaling his determination to remain relevant in the industry.
OTN News recalls that Marley and his brand had been in isolation after a period of intense scrutiny, where many within the industry and fans questioned his role in Mohbad’s demise.
The controversy sparked a wave of backlash, with some predicting the end of the ‘Marlian’ movement.
However, Marley has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and has continued to push his music despite the negative attention.
