Ukraine-Russia War: Ukraine Fires First ATACMS long-range Missiles Against Russia

In a new move that sparks of escalation of the Ukraine-Russia War, Ukraine has launched its first American-supplied long-range missile strike against Vladimir Putin’s forces.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News gathered from reliable international News sources that the US and Ukrainian officials said the strikes struck an ammunition depot Russia’s Bryansk region with Ukraine’s army acknowledging a strike in the area though the weapons were used.
According to Russia's Defence Ministry, Ukraine has fired no fewer than six U.S.-made ATACMs missiles against Russia.
In a statement reported by Russian news agencies, the ministry said it shot down five of them and damaged one more.
OTN News reports that this latest attack in the Ukraine-Russia War came after the President of the United States, Joe Biden authorised Ukraine’s use of long-range missiles to strike hundreds of miles inside Russia for the first time.
