Terrorists Murder Yet Another Nigerian University Lecturer, Kidnaps His Children

Barely 10 days after terrorists killed a University Lecturer, Professor Yusuf Saidu at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, the North-West region of Nigeria has witnessed another tragic murder in of another University Lecturer.
Tiri David, a senior Lecturer at the Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA) in Katsina State, was murdered by bandits on Tuesday, who also kidnapped his two children during the attack. H
David, who was the Head of the Department of Agricultural Economics, Extension, and Rural Development, was murdered at around 1:30am at his home in Yarima Quarters, a housing estate in Dutsinma Local Government Area.
OPEN TELEVISION Naija gathered more information from residents stating that the attackers stormed the community, firing into the air with sophisticated weapons before targeting David's residence.
The police spokesperson in Katsina, Abubakar Aliyu, confirmed the incident to reporters but was unable to provide further details at the time.
The incident in Katsina marks the second time in less than 10 days that terrorists have killed a University Lecturer in Nigeria’s North-west.
OPEN TELEVISION Naija additionally reports that terrorists, locally known as bandits, recently murdered Yusuf Saidu, a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, also Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto.
Saidu and his driver were ambushed on a terror-ravaged highway linking Zamfara and Kaduna states, according to university sources.
Frequent attacks by terrorists plague states in the North-West, including Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna, Sokoto, and Kebbi.
These terrorists have turned many areas into war zones, making life miserable for residents, particularly agrarian farmers, through relentless attacks on roads, farms, and homes.
