Sunset at noon as Sisi Quadri dies at aged 45

Nollywood has been thrown into a state of mourning in the new month of March as the sad news of the death of popular Yoruba comic actor, Oyebami Quadri fondly known as Sisi Quadri by his fans especially on the social media, filtered out today Friday March 1st, 2024.

The death of Sisi Quadri who was well known for his spontaneous quick jabes and quips in Yoruba movies for which he has gained massive following on social media platforms in recent years has been described as another case of sunset at noon as he died aged 45.

Open Television gathered that the comic actor gave up the ghost at his Iwo home town in Osun State today after a brief illness.

There are speculations in some quarters that Sisi Quadri died from complications from a kidney disease.

Open Television reports that the Nollywood actor actually died on the day of the release of his latest movie appearance titled ANIKULAPO:RISE OF THE SCEPTER in which Sisi Quadri actually played the role of one of the three ghosts in the mystic epic series directed by Kunle Afolayan.

The Theatre Arts & Motion Pictures Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) has confirmed the death of the comic actor describing his demise as a colossal loss.

A statement credited to the Global President of the association, Otunba Bolaji Amusan (Mr.Latin) said the news of the death of the actor shocked theatre practitioners, especially those within the Yoruba Nollywood caucus among whom the deceased practised his creative craft.

Otunba Amusan expressed his condolences to members of the movie industry, the immediate family, as well as children of the late actor, praying that God will grant everyone the fortitude to bear the tragic loss.
