His Majesty, the Olota of Otta, Oba Professor Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege, P.h.D, has warned criminal elements to steer clear of Otta, as he heartily felicitates with all Muslim faithful in the ancient city of Otta, Aworiland, and across the world on the auspicious occasion of the celebration of Eid al-Adha 2025.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the royal father, in a press statement by the Principal Secretary to the Yoruba Monarch, Prince Adeyemi Sulaimon, His Majesty expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting the Muslim Ummah the opportunity to witness this sacred period marked by spiritual devotion, sacrifice, and communal harmony.

Kabiyesi Olota emphasized that Eid al-Adha commemorates obedience, sacrifice, and divine mercy. He encouraged the faithful to emulate these virtues in their daily lives.

Speaking firmly on security matters, His Majesty warned criminal elements to steer clear of Otta. “Ottaland is not a haven for criminals,” Kabiyesi declared. “Anyone involved in or planning any unlawful act should vacate this kingdom. We shall continue to work closely with security agencies and relevant institutions to ensure the safety and well-being of our people.”

He also addressed the controversy surrounding the Eid praying ground in Otta, clarifying that the land was graciously donated to the Otta Muslim Community solely for Eid prayers. As a principal member of the Iyanru family, His Majesty affirmed that at no time was there any conversation, agreement, or authorization to reclaim the land.

The royal therefore warned those attempting to encroach or stir unnecessary conflict to desist, stressing that any act of illegality or provocation would be met with resolute resistance in the interest of justice and peace. Also, all illegal structures resting on the fence should be removed with immediate effect as earlier directed by the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Wasiu Lawal, fca.

In the spirit of celebration, His Majesty extended appreciation to all groups, stakeholders, and individuals who visited the palace to pay homage and share in the joy of Eid. Kabiyesi specifically acknowledged the Otta Muslim Community led by the representative of the Grand Chief Imam, Imam Abdulwasiu Akinboyede Olanase, the Arewa Community, and other dignitaries who came to express goodwill.

Kabiyesi Olota concluded by praying for Allah’s continuous blessings, protection, and guidance upon all Muslims and the people of Aworiland. He urged everyone to remain law-abiding, peaceful, and steadfast in promoting the prosperity of Otta, Ogun State, and Nigeria at large.
