Ondo Gubernatorial Election: DSS Intercepts Suspected Vote Buyer Carrying Two Bags of Money

Men of the Department of State Services (DSS) on special elections duty in Ondo state have arrested a suspected vote buyer during the ongoing Governorship election in the state.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News gathered from credible sources that the suspected vote buyer was arrested at Ward 4, Polling Unit 007 outside St. Stephen’s Primary School, Akure, Ondo State, around 9:00 am on election day.
In a video cited by our correspondent, the suspect, a young man in his early 40s, was stopped by the DSS operatives while driving a Toyota Camry car.
The operatives then conducted a search on his vehicle and found two bags of money and a cutlass in the trunk of his car.
Subsequently, the DSS officials whisked the suspect away even as he tried to deny any knowledge of the items found in car.
OTN News recalls that the DSS operatives carried out the arrest were part of security agents deployed in Ondo to ensure a smooth election.
