NNPC debunks Pump Price adjustment rumors assures Nigerians of adequate supply during Easter

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has stated that it has not reduced the pump prices of petrol and diesel, as claimed by some posts on social media.
The company noted that although some posts to that effect surfaced online, between Tuesday and Wednesday, on various social media platforms and got relayed by many bloggers quoting that the NNPCL had reduced the pump price of petrol below N600, while that of diesel was adjusted below N900, the news was false and never originated from the company.
Reacting, to the claim in a statement, the NNPCL spokesperson, Olufemi Soneye said: “The NNPC Limited wishes to clarify rumours suggesting a price adjustment for Premium Motor Spirit and Automotive Gas Oil at its retail stations nationwide.
“The company asserts that these reports are false and urges Nigerians to disregard them entirely.”
The press statement assured Nigerians that the NNPC Ltd would sustain the current sufficiency in petroleum products supply across all its retail stations in the country.
