NBC Grants MAPOLY Campus Radio Approval for Full Transmission

In attestation to the rebranding agenda of the Management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, the long awaited terrestrial MAPOLY Radio has finally secured its full operational license following the approval of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the development was announced in a press statement signed by the Head, Public Relations and Protocols of the Polytechnic, Mr.Yemi Ajibola.
According to him, "This approval was contained in a letter signed by the Secretary to the Commission, Mrs. Francisca Aiyetan, dated February 3, 2025 and addressed to the Rector, Arc. Dr. 'Koye Jolaoso as a result of his efforts to resuscitate the MAPOLY Campus Radio Station.
The letter, Ajibola revealed read that, "I am directed to convey the approval of the National Broadcasting Commission to your request to commence full transmission on your Campus FM Radio Station, MAPOLY 99.7MHz, Abeokuta, Ogun State".
It reads further that, "This is based on the report of successful completion of Test Transmission by the Station in compliance with the provisions of the National Broadcasting Commission Act, Cap. N11, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 and the Nigeria Broadcasting Code".
By this development, the agenda for a new MAPoly is boosted as it will enhance Mass Communication training in the 46-year-old institution thus helping students acquire necessary practical skills to make them not only functional, but competitive in the industry upon graduation.
