Mobile Classroom Floats Periodic Virtual Test, Support Fund For Students of Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria

Young Nigerian educational technopreneur, Akeem Salami, who earned national reputation for his Mobile Classroom App during the COVID-19 era in Nigeria, has introduced a new initiative, periodic virtual test for students of tertiary institutions in Nigeria with a support fund of N4 million.

In a groundbreaking technopreneurship move, students of Nigerian tertiary institution can now participate in a periodic nationwide VirtualTest, aimed at fostering a culture of learning and providing student support funds as incentives. 

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News gathered that this initiative, funded by Mobile Classroom Ltd, aims to foster learning and empower young people with innovative ideas and business plans that often go unrealized due to a lack of funds. 

A statement released by CEO of Mobile Classroom Ltd, Akeem Salami sighted by OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News disclosed that all Nigerian students enrolled in these courses, irrespective of their institution, level, or location, are eligible to participate in the VirtualTest to be held on the Mobile Classroom app.

The statement further reveals that the test will identify the recipients of N4 million student support fund available for each month, effective from August, 2024.

The educational technopreneur who had previously partnered with the Federal Ministry of Education and many states in Nigeria to host a massively successful Mobile and Online Educational App during the lock down phases of the COVID-19 era revealed that this new innovative program offers a unique opportunity for tertiary students to engage in a competitive and rewarding experience, with the ultimate goal of enhancing their academic performance and overall educational journey.

The nationwide Objectives VirtualTest is being conducted via the Mobile Classroom app, covering a range of academic subjects which allows students to join from any location at the scheduled time.

Participants who do not join on time will miss the opportunity to take the test. 

Esteemed lecturers from different Universities and higher Institutions across Nigeria have been selected to oversee the VirtualTest for different subject selected.

These lecturers have also created their classes on the Mobile Classroom app, uploading video lectures on various topics that participants need to study before the test. 

The appointed lecturers for the August test include, Dr. Ayobami Elegunde from the Department of Business Administration at Lagos State University (LASU), Dr. Wasiu Tejuoso from the Department of Mass Communication at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Dr. Sheidu Kamoru from the Faculty of Education at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), and Dr. Tokpo from the Department of Political Science at the Federal University, Otuoke.

Each month, specific courses will be highlighted. In August 2024, the focus is on Mass Communication, Political Science, Business/Public Administration, and Social Science
