Mapoly Alumni Association Plegdes to Partner Management, Other Stakeholders to Drive Monumental Institutional Development

The Alumni Association of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta (MAPALUM) has pledged to collaborate with the Management of the 46-year-old institution towards achieving monumental developments at the institution. 

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the pledge was part of an agreement, reached earlier in the week, when the new national leadership of the Alumni Association paid courtesy visits to the Polytechnic authorities and a renowned traditional ruler, who is also an alumnus of the Polytechnic. 

In a press statement obtained from the Alumni Association's National President, Alhaji Ayinde Soaga, a veteran broadcaster and former General Manager of OGTV assured the Polytechnic authorities of his vision to make the school a live-in institution during his tenure.

He promised to harness all available resources and bring both old students & corporate organizations together to complete the school hostel project.

According to him, this is the only way to encourage the intellectual system of the students to concentrate more on their studies.

Responding to the gesture of the Alumni Executives, the Rector of the Institution, Dr. *Koyejo Jolaoso, who is also an alumnus of the Polytechnic promised to give the Alumni Association its right of place in the school management.

Dr. Jolaoso observed that "This is the right time for both organizations to come together, synergise and take the institution to the next level.

The Alumni Association also paid a courtesy visit to the Olota of Ota & the Paramount Ruler of Awori Kingdom, Professor Oba *Abdulkabir Adeyemi Obalanlege* , who was excited to receive both his old course mates, juniors, seniors and friends,whom he eulogised.

The royal father spoke glowingly about the new National President of the Alumni, whom he described as his *role model* while undergoing journalism education in the Polytechnic.

The Olota of Ota promised to harness all available resources @ giving back to *MAPOLY* , an institution he described as his moulder.

Alhaji Ayinde Soaga also promised the traditional ruler his resolve to give the association a purposeful leadership & ensure that monumental developments are witnessed during his tenure.

Oba *Lanlege* is a member of the alumni's Committee of Distinguished Alumni ( *CODA* ), bestowed on him few years ago.

CODA members and the executive committee of the Alumni, which included the PRO, Comrade Gani Olowu facilitated the vist, being a friend of the Olota's palace.

Oba Lanlege who recalled his school days when rigorous practical & theoretical trainings were given to them, urged Nigerians not to forget the institutions that made them whatever they are today and be prepared to give back to such institutions.

The Ayinde Soaga led administration has promised to develop the institution & make it better than he met it when handling over to another regime.

Meanwhile, authorities if MAPOLY equally promised to accord the Alumni Association it's rightful place at the forthcoming combined convocation ceremonies scheduled to take place on Tueaday 24th June, 2025.

Earlier, the Alumni Association delegation, attended the 8day fidau prayers of a fellow of MAPOLY, a great philanthropist and benefactor of the institution, Chief *Olatunde Ayinla Abudu.*
