Lagos Ministry of Transportation Launches Digital System To Boost Safety, Efficiency in Interstate Travel

The Lagos State Ministry of Transportation has launched a new accreditation and digital manifest system for interstate parks, aiming to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency in State-to-state travel.
Announcing the program at a press briefing over the weekend, OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News gathered that the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, explained that the initiative is set to streamline and modernize interstate transport operations.
“This program goes beyond just upgrading infrastructure; it’s a strong commitment to ensuring the safety and comfort of all travelers moving in and out of Lagos by road,” Osiyemi stated.
Permanent Secretary, Olawale Musa, highlighted that the new system would enhance security by tracking entries and exits from the State and confirming authorized transporters.
"This is fundamentally about protecting the lives and security of Lagos residents,” Musa concluded.
