IGP Egbetokun Deploys New Police Commissioners Nationwide

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the deployment of new Commissioners of Police to various states and key formations across the country.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA OTN News reports that the nationwide deployment was announce in a statement released over the weekend by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

The statement affirms that the move is part of ongoing efforts to bolster internal security and eliminate criminal threats across the country.

 The IGP urged the newly appointed commissioners to prioritize professionalism, provide quality leadership, and enhance safety in their respective commands.

The statement emphasized that the deployments, which take immediate effect, align with the IGP’s vision to strengthen the operational capacity of the police by placing experienced officers in strategic positions.

“These strategic postings are intended to harness the extensive experience of the senior officers to drive effective policing and promote public safety,” the statement said.

Egbetokun reaffirmed the police force’s dedication to a safer Nigeria and called on citizens to continue supporting security efforts and collaborating with the police in the fight against crime.

• CP Bello Rasheed Afegbua – Cross River State Command

• CP Dahiru Mohammed – Jigawa State Command

• CP Adebowale Lawal – Ondo State Command

• CP Ibrahim Gotan – Osun State Command

• CP Eloho Edwin Okpoziakpo – Department of Training and Development, Force Headquarters

• CP Olusegun Eyitayo Omosayin – FCID Annex, Gombe State (as CP General Investigation)
