Lamide Lawal Backs Seyi Tinubu, Clears Air on Guard of Honour Criticisms
Amid caustic criticisms from some quarters about the mounting of guard of honour for inspection by Mr.Seyi Tinubu during his recent participation at a youth empowerment summit in Ogun State. a prominent Nigerian youth leader, Hon Lamide Lawal has backed the president's son, clearing the air that the mounted guard of honour was by the Cadet Network-Nigeria, Ogun State Command, and not members of the Nigerian armed forces as wrongly circulated by critics.

A prominent Nigerian youth leader who is also the Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor on Youth Development, Comrade Olamide Lawal, has faulted critics of Mr. Seyi Tinubu over the guard of honour mounted for him during a recent visit to the gateway state.
Comrade Olamide Lawal, who is the current National President of All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth League, in a statement released to correct the wrong impressions on the mounting of guard of honour for Mr Seyi Tinubu condemned the false narratives being circulated by the critics.
The National youth leader of Ogun scion maintained that the needless and baseless banters by obviously ill-informed people over Seyi Tinubu’s participation in a youth summit and empowerment programme held in Ogun State, was highly condemnable.
Hon. Lawal further noted that the event in question which was organised by CityBoy Movement, under Tinubu’s coordination, focuses on empowerment of deserving youths across the state with financial and entrepreneurial support
He therefore wondered why an inconsequential issue like the mounting of guard of honour for the youth-friendly son of the President was the only thing that attracted the negatively skewed attention of the fault-finders and nay-sayers.
Hon.Lawal further revealed that contrary to the wrong impressions been circulated in some media circles, the guard of honour mounted for Seyi Tinubu at the event was done by the Cadet formation and not by members of the armed force as being falsely circulated.
He further clarified that the group involved in the guard of honour was not part of the armed forces, but rather members of the Cadet Network-Nigeria, Ogun State Command, an affiliate of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).
Hon. Lawal therefore appealed to well meaning Nigerians and Ogun youths to join him in commending Mr Seyi Tinubu for his invaluable investments in Nigerian youths via the instrumentality of such youth empowerment and entrepreneurship development outreaches.
Concluding, he assured the president's son of constant and unflinching support for his developmental initiatives and philanthropic programmes by youths in Ogun state and across the country.
