Several Heads Have Rolled As The Federal Government Has Suspended Several Senior Officials of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) Amid The Viral Allegations of Bribery Connected to Popular Crossdresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky Published By Nigerian Blogger, VeryDarkMan(VDM)

The Federal Government has suspended several senior officials of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) amid allegations of bribery connected to popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News gathered that the allegations, which went viral after being made by popular blogger Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, claimed that some officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) accepted ₦15 million from Bobrisky to drop money laundering charges against him following his April naira spraying incident.
Additionally, the blogger alleged that Bobrisky paid millions of naira to secure a premium section in prison after his sentencing to six months' imprisonment.
In response, Bobrisky has denied the accusations. Both the EFCC and the Nigerian Correctional Service have launched investigations into the claims.
On Thursday, the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board announced the suspension of the officers in question, citing the need to facilitate investigations into the allegations.
OTN News revealed that the suspension was disclosed in a statement signed by Ja’afaru Ahmed, which promised the public that the findings of the investigations would be released once completed.
The suspended officers include Michael Anugwa, Deputy Controller of Corrections (DCC) at the Medium Security Custodial Centre (MSCC), Kirikiri, Lagos, and Sikiru Adekunle, Deputy Controller of Corrections at the Maximum-Security Custodial Centre, Kirikiri, Lagos.
In a separate incident, the Board also suspended ASC II, Ogbule Samuel Obinna, an officer at the MSCC in Afikpo, Ebonyi State, for allegedly escorting a convicted inmate outside the prison.
