Nigerians have been assured that God who gave Jesus Christ, His son to the world, has the power to lay ambush against all forces working against the peace and joy of God's people across the country during the Christmas season and beyond.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that this assurance came from the Pastor-in-Charge of Zone, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Rose of Sharon Headquarters in Abeokuta on Sunday during a sermon at the 2025 Nine Lessons Carol service.
In her prophetic explanation of the theme of the service,"Light to the World," Pastor Temitope Ajisafe emphasized that the heart beat of God is to shine the light of his peace and joy to all nations of the world during the Christmas period and beyond, citing the biblical prophecy of Isaiah as contained in Chapter 60 of the Holy scriptures.
Pastor Ajisafe, who affirmed that Christ whose birth is being celebrated by Christians, identified himself as the light of the world in all the synoptic gospel accounts, stressed that God, in his infinite wisdom and power will lay ambush against any persons or group of persons, who are hell bent on denying Nigerians the experience of the peace and joy of Christmas if only believers activate the prophetic power of God's promise.
She further called on Christians across the world to reflect deeply on the fact that Christ has mandated and commissioned them as the light of the world everywhere they find themselves.
Highpoints of the Nine Lessons Carols Service included: bible readings in English and Yoruba language, multiple song ministrations by the Rose of Sharon choir.
OTN News further reports that another rapturous highpoint of the special church service was the moment, Ambassador Olufemi Orunsola, the Egba Carol Crooner was introduced to the congregation and he took the stage to minister in songs in his typical audience-commanding and interactive Egba dialect style that got the congregation singing along loudly, and dancing excitedly in God's presence.
After the Carol service, beams of smiles and joy radiated on the faces of children who from within the Atokun Community, Idi-Ope area of Abeokuta and environment as the church hosted them to a session of meeting and greeting the Santa at his groto located at the children church Auditorium where they were given gifts by Santa and took photographs with him.
