OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, has revealed that before becoming an international football star, she sold zobo, kunu, and olive oil at church programmes held at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) headquarters.
OTN News further reports that, Ajibade shared the inspiring story of her humble beginnings on Saturday during the August edition of the 'Power Must Change Hands' service hosted by MFM in Ogun State.
Speaking before the congregation, the 25-year-old Atletico Madrid forward recalled her early struggles hawking within the church premises during major programmes, especially deliverance services.
She said those challenging experiences helped shape her resilience and deepened her faith.
"Whenever things get difficult, whether at my club or with the national team, I pray. I work hard, but I never stop seeking God’s help," Ajibade said.
She continued: "I was once that young girl walking around church programmes selling olive oil, kunu, and zobo. Today, I give all the glory to God. My message is simple: Don’t give up. Keep praying, keep fasting, keep working hard, and keep believing."
Ajibade, who hails from Lagos, recently captained the Super Falcons to their 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title in Morocco, cementing her status as one of the nation’s most celebrated female footballers.
Her testimony drew loud applause and cheers from the congregation, with many praising her for staying grounded and acknowledging her spiritual roots despite her global success.
