Follow Up: All Criminals, Non Criminals Cases to be on Pending as Industrial Court Begins Christmas, New Year Holiday 19 December

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that ahead of the christmas and new year celebrations, the President of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN), Hon. Justice Benedict Kanyip, PhD, OFR, has officially declared Friday, 19 December 2025, to Wednesday, 7 January 2026, as the Court’s Christmas and New Year vacation.
OTN News further reports that the declaration which was made in accordance with Order 58 Rule 4(1)(c) of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2017, was signed by His Lordship, Justice Kanyip.
Kanyip announced that there will be no court sittings throughout the vacation period. Normal court activities are scheduled to resume on Thursday, 8 January 2026.
OTN News had earlier reported that the industrial court notified the publics that all court jurisdiction will be observing this year christmas and new year, and that the court will be attending to only emergency case during the period they are observing their holiday as every other cases will be attended to after the end of the vacation.
