Confusion Erupts As Kogi Governor,Ododo Joins PDP Governors' Forum Days After Supreme Court Victory

A new wave of confusion is spreading across Nigeria’s political landscape following the appearance of Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, at a meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum just 48 hours after his Supreme Court upheld his electoral victory, feeding speculations of his defections to the opposition party.

The gathering, which took place in Taraba State, was primarily convened for both political discussions and a personal celebration. 

OPEN TELEVISION Naija (OTN) News reports that the marriage of Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas's daughter, scheduled to take place that same day. While the meeting was attended by various PDP Governors, what caught the attention of many was the presence of Governor Ododo, the sole Governor from the All Progressives Congress (APC), standing out in photographs as he wore matching attire with the PDP Governors.

Although Governor Ododo's presence at the event may be attributed to his personal relationship with Governor Kefas and the desire to celebrate with him, political analysts and onlookers have expressed surprise at the unusual sight of an APC Governor in the midst of his political rivals. This has sparked speculation and raised eyebrows among observers of the Nigerian political scene.

At the moment, it remains unclear whether Governor Ododo’s attendance at the event had any political implications or was purely a social gesture.
