Confusion as Sweden’s Health Minister, Elisabet Lann, Collapses During Press Conference, Lands at Hospital

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports as gathered that in what sends shockwaves through the audience and prompting immediate medical attention, the Sweden’s Health Minister, Elisabet Lann, 47, collapsed unexpectedly during a live press conference in Stockholm on Tuesday.
OTN News further reports as gathered that the sudden collapse which occurred while the minister was addressing journalists on the government’s latest healthcare policy updates, has raised public concern over her health, especially as she has been at the forefront of Sweden’s ongoing healthcare reforms and pandemic preparedness measures.
According to witnesses, she appeared to lose balance midway through her remarks before slumping to the floor. Security officers and medical personnel present at the event quickly rushed to her aid. She was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
OTN News further gathered that although her condition remains undisclosed as officials confirmed she is receiving medical care and undergoing routine checks.
However, Government officials assured citizens that further details would be provided once doctors release a medical update.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has asked the public to remain calm, adding that the government is prioritizing both Lann’s health and the continuity of her ministerial duties.
