Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide Mourns the Death of Papa Oshoffa's Official Choir Master General

Reports reaching OPEN TELEVISION Naija have it that the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide has suffered a great earthly loss as it announced the passing to glory of the Choir Master General of the Church, Evangelist Steve Pelemo.

The departure of the Choir Master General who was known as the official Choir Master of the founder of the church, credited with the composition of the global anthem song of the church tagged:"Ojo Agbara Na Ti Osan Doru... " was officially announced on the Worldwide official website of the church earlier today.

According to an emotion-laden obituary message posted on the Worldwide official website of the church at exactly 9.35 am on Thursday, which reads in part:

"Goodnight!

It is with profound pain and a deep sense of loss but with gratitude to God for an impactful life in His vineyard that we announce the passage of legendary Celestial Gospel Artiste and Choir Master General, Evangelist Steve Pelemoh aka Bro Bro, which occurred on Thursday, 18th July, 2024.

His transition is indeed a colossal loss not only to his immediate family but to the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.

May his wonderful soul find eternal peace. Amen.

We shall continue to update you as the family prepares for his final rites." the statement reads.

As at the time of filing this report, OPEN TELEVISION Naija could not get further details about the circumstances surrounding the death of the Choir Master General from the Secretary, Pastor in Council who is also the Head of Media and Publicity, Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala(MPIC).

OPEN TELEVISION Naija reports that the deceased, popularly known and addressed, right from the days of Baba Osoffa, as "BroBro", has been described by many elders in the Celestial Church of Christ as "The Celestial Nightingale".

He was, in his lifetime, credited with the composition of not only the official anthem song of the Celestial Church of Christ but also several songs, hymns and musical albums of the church known for its rich reservoir of original, spiritual songs.

The Celestial Church of Christ is one of the fastest growing indigenous African churches from where many high profile musicians in Nigeria such as: King Sunny Ade, Wonder Dayo Kujore, Dele Taiwo, Dr. Yinka Ayefele, Mega 99, Alayo Melody Singer, Shola Allyson Obaniyi and lately, Kent Edunjobi, the "Ebenezeri Wa" crooneer and countless others, have emerged.
