Cabinet Reshuffle: Tinubu Appoints Bianca Ojukwu As Minister, Replaces Five Ministers, Reassigns Portfolios

In a bid to reinvigorate his administration, President Bola Tinubu has dismissed five Ministers and brought in seven new appointees as part of a major cabinet shakeup.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News gathered that the statement was released on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Social Media, Dada Olusegun.
Additionally, ten Ministers have been reassigned to new roles, reflecting a strategic realignment of the Government’s priorities.
The Ministers removed include:
- Uju-Ken Ohanenye – Women Affairs
- Lola Ade-John – Tourism
- Tahir Mamman – Education
- Abdullahi Gwarzo – State for Housing and Urban Development
- Jamila Ibrahim – Youth Development
OTN News gathered that among the new ministerial appointees are: the widow of the late Biafran warlord, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, who is reportedly to serve as the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, while Nentawe Yilwatda steps in as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, officially replacing Betta Edu.
Other key appointments include:
- Maigari Dingyadi – Labour and Employment
- Jumoke Oduwole – Industry, Trade, and Investment
- Idi Maiha – Ministry of Livestock Development
- Yusuf Ata – State for Housing and Urban Development
- Suwaiba Ahmad – State for Education
In addition, President Tinubu has also appointed Shehu Dikko as the new Chairman of the National Sports Commission and Sunday Akin Dare as the Special Adviser on Public Communication and Orientation under the Ministry of Information.
In acknowledging the contributions of the outgoing Ministers, Tinubu expressed his appreciation for their service and urged the new appointees to see their roles as a mandate to serve the nation diligently.
