Veteran gospel singer and media entrepreneur Yinka Ayefele has expressed his dissolutions over a series of personal misfortunes that seem to have repeatedly befell him in the eight month of the year - August.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that Ayefele made his concerns known in an appreciation message to supporters on his radio station following a recent fire that gutted Fresh FM 105.9 and Blast FM 98.3 in Ibadan.

The maverick music maker and sought-after musician openly querried to know why many of his most heartbreaking experiences are linked to the same month of August.

The singer recalled the tragic loss of his younger brother, Oluwole Ayefele, who was the leader of the anti-robbery squad in Ore and died in a fatal accident on August 2.

He further reflected on the demolition of his popular Music House in Ibadan on August 19, seven years ago, and, most recently, the fire that destroyed his radio stations on August 15, 2025.

In his words, “There is something I don’t understand. Some years ago, my immediate younger brother had an accident and died on August 2. Also, seven years ago on August 19, my Music House was demolished. Now on August 15, 2025, my radio stations caught fire."

He further revealed that "It was the men of God who came to pray for me that called my attention to this. Why always August? I don’t know what is going on,” he lamented.

Although he has always successfully bounced back after each thread of tragedy and the recurring setbacks, Ayefele expressed gratitude to God and his well-wishers, saying their support continues to give him strength during difficult times.
