As the D-Day for the Edo State Governorship elections approaches, the APC Youth League, a group of young members from the All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed strong confidence in the party's chances of victory.
Speaking during the party’s rally, OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News gathered that the State Coordinator, Comrade Jimoh Muhammed Rafiq, also known as Prince Raf, voiced his firm belief that the APC is well-positioned to oust the incumbent PDP Government in Edo State.
Rafiq stated, “We have worked relentlessly to secure victory. Our grassroots mobilization has reached all 18 local Government areas, engaging with youths, women, and local leaders. The energy is in our favor.”
He predicted a decisive loss for Governor Godwin Obaseki and his candidate, highlighting the APC's strong presence and popularity across the State.
Rafiq called on party supporters to remain focused and continue working towards a landslide win.
OTN News further reports that Rafiq also noted that with APC’s focus on youth empowerment, education, and infrastructure, the party is poised to take control of the Edo State Government House.
“With the election near, the people of Edo will make their choice, and from the feedback we’ve received, it’s clear they’re ready for change, fed up with Obaseki’s lackluster leadership,” Rafiq concluded.
