Anambra Gubernatorial Elections: Bianca Ojukwu Tells Political Players to Accept Election Results in Good Faith, Rates Conduct Peaceful, Credible

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, has adjudged the Anambra State governorship election as peaceful and without tangible hitches, urging players to accept results of the election in good faith. 

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports as gathered that the Minister, who hails from Anambra state, stated this after casting her vote at about 12.25 pm at Polling Unit 001, Ward 2, within the premises of St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Okpuno-Egbu, Umudim Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government Area of the state.

Bianca, who also monitored the election in some polling units in Uruagu Ward 2, lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for what she described as a commendable performance.

As results of the election in the state are being profiled while final announcement of the election results by the electoral umpire headed by the new INEC Chairman, Prof Amupitan are expected, she urged contestants and political players to accept the outcome to be declared in good faith.

She emphasized that all political plsyers should remember that the ultimate objective ofvthe elections remains to elect a governor that serves the interest of Anambra State and its people.
