Air Peace Expands Fleet with Third Embraer 190 to Boost Festive Travel Capacity

In a move towards boosting air travel capacity during the 2025 festive season, Air Peace has strengthened its operational muscle with the arrival of its third Embraer 190 aircraft.

According to Air Peace Spokesperson, Osifo-Whiskey Efe, the development accentuates the firms ability to meet the surge in travel demand over the festive season and beyond.

In his words, “We are delighted to welcome this advanced aircraft into our ever-expanding fleet. The Embraer 190 AR is a modern, efficient, and passenger-friendly aircraft that aligns perfectly with our operational goals,”

Efe further emphasized the strategic timing of the addition; “Our focus remains clear: easing the burden of air travel across Nigeria, Africa, and beyond, while offering seamless connectivity and bespoke services that meet the expectations of today’s traveller.”

He added that the aircraft will support additional flight frequencies across key domestic and regional routes during the festive period, enhancing schedule reliability, connectivity, and reducing pressure on high-traffic corridors.

The Embraer 190-100 AR (Advanced Range) jet, registered as 5N-CFM, landed at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at 3:13 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

The arrival marks a key milestone in Air Peace’s deliberate and rapid fleet modernization programme, which has seen the airline expand its fleet with the latest, fuel-efficient aircraft to enhance passenger experience and operational reliability.

Configured to carry 99 passengers, the aircraft offers 11 Business Class seats and 88 Economy Class seats, combining comfort with efficiency.

The Embraer 190 AR is designed with both sustainability and performance in mind. Its fuel-efficient engines reduce carbon emissions, making it among the most environmentally responsible aircraft in its class.

Passengers enjoy a refined cabin layout: a 1-2 Business Class configuration for privacy and comfort, and a 2-2 Economy Class layout that eliminates middle seats, offering spacious legroom, quiet cabin ambience, and in-seat power outlets for productivity and convenience.

For travellers, the new aircraft translates to increased seat availability, more flexible travel options, and an improved journey experience—particularly significant during peak holiday travel, family reunions, business trips, and tourism activities.

It also reflects Air Peace’s commitment to deploying right-sized aircraft that serve both high-density and underserved routes efficiently, without compromising service quality.

The third Embraer 190 reinforces Air Peace’s position as Nigeria’s fastest-growing airline, setting industry benchmarks in fleet expansion, route development, and passenger service.

With its steadily expanding and diverse fleet, the airline continues to connect communities, strengthen regional integration, and redefine air travel across the continent.

At a time when Air travel has become mot just a luxury but a sheer safety necessity for many Nigerians yet skyrocketing air travel fees have become a huge concern so much that it attracted legislative attention on the floor of the Nigerian Senate, many Nigerians see the move by Air Peace as a commendable iniative.
