Abuja Buzzes as Bello Matawalle’s Nine Children Set to Marry on Same Day

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports as gathered that Abuja was agog with excitement as nine children of former Minister of State for Defence and ex-Governor of Zamfara State, Malam Bello Matawalle, prepare to tie the knot on the same day in what is being described as a rare and historic family celebration.
OTN News further reports as gathered that the multiple wedding ceremony, deeply rooted in Islamic tradition and family values, will see the solemnisation of the nikaah of five sons and four daughters of the former minister.
OTN News observes that the news of the unprecedented event gained widespread attention after a wedding invitation card bearing Matawalle’s photograph surfaced on social media, sparking admiration and debate, with many Nigerians describing the occasion as extraordinary.
According to details on the invitation card, the Islamic marriage rites are scheduled to take place at the Abuja National Mosque on February 6, commencing at 1:30 p.m.
The couples-to-be are Ibrahim, Suraj, Safiya, Maryam, Aisha, Fahad, Muh’d, Nana Firdausi, and Farida.
Preparations for the ceremony are already at an advanced stage as organisers intensify efforts to ensure a seamless and memorable event.
Confirming the development, the All Progressives Congress (APC) spokesperson in Zamfara State, Yusuf Idris, disclosed that the organising committee has been working tirelessly to put all arrangements in place.
“By the grace of Allah, the nikaah will hold at the Abuja Central Mosque on February 6,” Idris said. “I am part of the organising committee, and preparations have reached an advanced stage.”
The high-profile ceremony is expected to attract family members, close friends, political associates, religious leaders, and well-wishers from across the country.
Beyond its scale, the event is being hailed as a celebration of faith, unity, and strong family bonds, further adding to the buzz already enveloping the nation’s capital ahead of the historic day.
