Abiodun Salutes Orimolusi’s Reign, Says Ijebu-Igbo Thrives Under His Leadership

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that, the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has extended warm felicitations to His Royal Majesty, Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adebajo (Ojuromi VI), the Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo and Acting Chairman of the Ijebu Traditional Council, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary, lauding the monarch’s leadership and contributions to community development.
OTN News further reports that, Governor Abiodun, in a congratulatory message released by his media office, described Oba Adebajo as a distinguished traditional ruler and a worthy custodian of Ijebu heritage and cultural values, whose reign has ushered in peace, unity, and progress in Ijebu-Igbo and its environs.
“Today offers not only a moment to celebrate your life, but also a fitting opportunity to reflect on your impactful reign and the renewed sense of unity and purpose you have brought to the people of Ijebu-Igbo and beyond,” the governor stated.
Furthermore, the governor noted that, since ascending the throne, the Orimolusi has demonstrated inclusive leadership, championing initiatives that have strengthened communal harmony and identity, while fostering collaboration between traditional institutions and government.
“As the custodian of our cultural heritage, you have carried the weight of legacy with grace, ensuring that tradition, modern governance, and community development walk hand in hand."
"Your commitment to fostering collaboration among traditional rulers and government institutions stands as a testament to your progressive outlook and desire to see Ijebu-Igbo flourish,” Abiodun added.
Governor Abiodun, however, prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health, long life, and wisdom for the monarch, commending him for being a symbol of stability and service to his people.
“On this auspicious day, we celebrate not only a king but a statesman, bridge-builder, and father-figure whose reign continues to reaffirm the enduring values of wisdom, patience, and selfless service,” the governor added.
OTN News observes that, the felicitation, which highlights Governor Abiodun’s deep respect for traditional institutions, reflects the state government’s ongoing partnership with royal fathers to advance peace and development across Ogun State.
