The event, marked by its festive and communal spirit, brought together leaders and dignitaries from across the nation to honour this significant religious occasion.

Open Television Naija gathered that the celebration of Sallah in the aquatic state of Lagos by President Bola Tinubu opened up the state to a more grandeur Sallah celebration mode and mood compared to other South West states like: Ogun, Oyo, Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti were the celebrations are reportedly observed in a relatively low key mode owing to prevailing harsh economic realities, especially the hyper inflation in the prices of rams, meant to be killed for the festivities, tomatoes and other other food items.

Open Television Naija further reports that this year's Eid-el-kabir is being observed at a time when health authorities have raised concerns about a wave of Cholera outbreak in no fewer than 30 states in Nigeria, with the death toll in Lagos alone, hitting 30 deaths as at the weekend. Hence, governments of both Ogun and Lagos have had to roll out precautionary measures to prevent further spread of the deadly disease during the festivities.

Meanwhile, Governor Abiodun has extended his best wishes to all Nigerians observing the holiday.
