The Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, has affirmed his commitment to ensuring the full execution of agreements signed during President Bola Tinubu’s recent state visit to China.

Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja on Friday, Dunhai emphasized that implementing these agreements is a primary goal for the Chinese Government.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that Dunhai highlighted his mission which involves overseeing the realisation of 13 Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) signed between Nigeria and China.

He stated that this collaboration is just the beginning, and more agreements between various sectors in both countries are likely to follow.

The ambassador detailed plans for increased collaboration between Nigeria and China, with several delegations set to visit both countries to advance the agreements.

Dunhai stressed that turning these agreements into tangible outcomes is essential for fostering stronger relations.

He also pointed out that the partnerships extend beyond Government entities, noting that companies and local departments will also play crucial roles in the implementation process.

He predicted that major Nigerian cities like Abuja and Lagos would be central to these efforts.

However, OTN News revealed that also the Minister Counsellor and Deputy Chief of Mission at the Chinese Embassy, Zhang Yi, echoed this sentiment, expressing confidence in Nigeria’s commitment to the agreements.

He noted and finalised that both nations have a strong incentive to ensure the MOUs are successfully implemented, given their mutual benefits.
