23-Year-Old Woman Allegedly Kills Husband During Domestic Dispute,Dumps Body in Uncompleted Building

In a heartbreaking tragic turn of event, a 23-year Old Woman, identified as Rahimat Sasaum has been accused of killing her husband during a heated domestic argumenf aat their home in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

OPEN TELEVISION Naija gathered that Ramatu was apprehended by the Nigeria Police Force while attempting to escape with her husband's possessions. 

The FCT Command spokesperson, Josephine Adeh has released a statement detailing the incident.

Adeh revealed that the woman confessed to the crime and guided the officers to an unfinished building where she had discarded her deceased husband’s charred remains. 

Adeh explained, "On July 29, 2024, around 6 pm, officers from the FCT police command's Pegi Division, acting on reliable information, arrested 23-year-old, Rahimat Salaum of Pegi, Abuja, in connection with her husband's murder. 

The suspect was caught attempting to flee with her paralyzed husband's belongings, who had been missing for approximately three days. 

During questioning, the suspect admitted to killing her husband after a confrontation. 

She then led the police to an unfinished building where she had disposed of the severely burnt body.

OPEN TELEVISION Naija further ireports that the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth C. Igweh, assured the public that justice will be served and encouraged residents not to hesitate to report any suspicious activities through the police emergency lines and also to stay vigilant.
