"You Are a True Democrat, Distinguished Elderstatesman Worthy of Emulation" - OTN News Celebrates Senator Prince Gbolahan Dada on His Birthday

The management and entire staff of OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News today celebrates a very distinguished senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Prince Gbolahan Joseph Dada on the auspicious ocassion of his birthday.

In a special birthday felicitation message addressed to the Awori Prince of the stock of former Olota of Ota, Oba Timothy Dada, OTN News Chief Executive Officer, Ambassador Olufemi Orunsola described the Senator who represented Ogun West at the 8th National Assembly as "a rare breed of Nigerian politician, a true democrat who has made tremendpus selfless sacrifices and contributions to the sustainance of democracy in Nigeria."

Ambassador Orunsola further noted that Senator Dada has made his mark as a technocrat, with notable achievements and contributions to the banking and financial sector prior to his foray into politics and still continues to provide significant guidance to both Nigerian politicians and technocrats till date.

While recalling multiple instances when the celebrant of the day had personally funded pro-democracy campaigns, initiatives as well going the extra mile to intervene in critical leadership puzzles at the National Assembly and other levels of governance, Ambassador Orunsola, made bold to state that "In my entire professional media career life, spanning close to two decades, I have personally not met any Nigerian politician, living or dead, who thinks Nigeria first, speaks about advancing Nigerian democracy to greater heights even in the course of casual interactions not meant for political goal-scoring" adding that "Senator Gbolahan Dada simply walks the talk when it comes to promoting democracy without considering his direct or indirect gains."

He therefore prays that as Ogun state and indeed Nigeria gravitates towards yet another crucial political era of electioneering in 2027, with visible dark clouds and storms, gathering across the political landscape of the country, the good Lord will grant the "Distinguished Senator" as he is fondly called, the sound health and wisdom to once again play significant role in helping both Ogun West, Ogun State and Nigeria at large, to successfully navigate the new crucial transition season.

For the records, OTN News recalls that Senator Gbolahan Dada served as an outstanding and exceptional legislator who sponsored series of bills and raised countless motions on the floor of the Senate.

He was the vice chairman of the public account committee and served on other committees such as Banking, Finance, and Financial Technology.

As a technicrat, he brought a rich background in commerce and banking, Senator Dada brings a wealth of experience to the table.
