Trump Returns Gallantly to White House After Four Years, Meets Biden

For the first time after four years of exiting the White House, the President-elect of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has returned to the Presidential House on Wednesday, walking triumphantly to meet with outgoing President, Joe Biden, OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports.

OTN further reports that, Biden invited Trump for the traditional visit, ahead of the coming January 20 peaceful transfer of power in the American democracy between the current U.S. leader and the incoming chief executive.

OTN News recalls that when Biden defeated Trump in 2020, Trump offered no White House invitation to meet him ahead of the inauguration and then left Washington two hours before Biden’s swearing-in on the steps of the U.S. Capitol.

However, OTN News gathered that the Biden-Trump get-together on Wednesday 13 of November was rife with political tension and relative reservations.

Biden, a Democrat who ran for re-election for some time, sought to defeat Trump, the Republican, before ending his campaign in July after faltering badly in a debate.

Biden on a smart move, quickly endorsed his vice president, Kamala Harris, to succeed him.

Kamala, however, failed to defeat Trump at the polls as the former president, Trump, won by a wide margin.
