OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that amid widespread reactions to Trump’s threat to stop U.S. aid to Nigeria and possibly launch military action over the alleged killing of Christians, a prominent Nigerian politician and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has criticized the U.S. President, Donald Trump over his recent comments and threats against Nigeria, describing him as “making too much noise as if America is the best country God ever created.”
OTN News further reports that Igbokwe, who said this in a statement shared on his verified Facebook page, cautioned Trump to stop acting like the self-appointed guardian of the world, saying no nation holds a divine monopoly on power or perfection.
According to his post, President Trump is making too much noise as if America is the best country God ever created.
"We will advise Trump to take notice that nobody appointed him as the world Policeman," he warned.
OTN News, however, observes that he further drew a historical analogy to warn against arrogance in global affairs.
He said, “all roads were leading to Rome before God said no.”
