TRACE Issues Traffic Advisory As Alake of Egbaland Sets for 20th Coronation Anniversary

ABEOKUTA - As the Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba (Dr.) Micheal Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, CFR, Okukenu IV, sets to celebrate his 20th coronation anniversary from Friday,14th November 2025 - Wednesday,19th November 2025, with series of activities, the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, (TRACE) has issued an open traffic advisory to the general public.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the traffic advisory was issued on Thursday by the Public Relations Officer of the Agency, Commander Babatunde Akinbiyi who noted that the advisory became expedient "in view of the high volume of human and vehicular traffic the august occasion will generate".
The statement nby Akinbiyi reads, "This is to notify the general public that HRM, Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, is celebrating his 20th coronation anniversary from Friday,14th November 2025 - Wednesday,19th November 2025, with series of activities".
It further reads that "The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency(TRACE) hereby informs the motoring public that those who do not have any business with the activities of the 20th coronation anniversary within and around Ake palace should avoid the axis.
He noted,"There will be diversion of traffic for vehicles coming from Sapon and Adatan inbound Ake palace on Saturday, 15th November, 2025; Tuesday, 18th November, 2025 and Wednesday, 19th November, 2025.
Nevertheless, motorists from Sapon and Adatan should avail themselves the alternative routes stated below to get to their destinations, as no vehicle will be allowed into Ake Palace road except those of VIP's and those on essential duty.
✓ Sapon-Oke/Itoku-Ake/Roundabout-Itoku
✓ Adatan-Isake/Ake-UTurn-Oke/Ejigbo-Ijaiye.
Furthermore, operatives of TRACE, ditto other security and safety agencies would be at the different diversion points to regulate and control traffic, and also ensure motorists adhere to lay down rules of engagement that guides the usage of the road, in order not to compound traffic.
Notwithstanding, any inconveniences experienced as a result of the traffic diversion is highly regretted, please," the statement concludes.
