Rivers Assembly Calls on Fubara to Take Two Immediate Actions

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports as gathered that day after president Bola Ahmed Tinubu cut off the six-months emergency rule in Rivers state, the State House of Assembly has called on Governor Siminalayi Fubara, to take two immediate actions.
OTN News further reports as gathered that the house who gave this directive during its "first plenary" after the whole political drama in the state resolved that the governor should “immediately forward the list of Commissioner-nominees to it for screening and confirmation,” and also “immediately begin the process of putting together an Appropriation Law for the remaining part of the year.”
OTN News observes that these resolutions which were passed during the Thursday plenary, which was presided over by the Speaker, Martin Amaewhule, come amid a recent chaos that happened in the state government house on Wednesday.
OTN News had earlier reported that president Tinubu had declared six-month state of emergency in Rivers state as a result of difference between the former state governor, who is currently the minister of the federal capital territory, FCT, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, and the current governor of the state, Fubara.
However, the president announced the cut off of the six-month state of emergency yesterday, citing that the state is now experiencing peace.
