OPEN TELEVISION Naija reports that on Thursday, protesters attacked a section of the Digital Industrial Park (DIP) of the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) located in Kano State.
The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Salma Dogo, confirmed the incident during a phone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
According to the NAN, the centre is intended to serve Nigeria's northwestern region, was set to be commissioned on Wednesday, August 7.
However, protesters breached the premises, damaged offices, and stole high-tech equipment that worth billions of Naira.

Meanwhile, the Police and other security forces have implemented measures to protect the residents' lives and property.
