The recently reinstated Lagos Speaker, Obasa Mudashiru and members of the Lagos state House of Assembly have converged on Abuja for a meeting with President Tinubu, singing the political song of loyalty to the President, after the close door meeting at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja, declining press briefings.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports as gathered that the Lagos law makers converged on Abuja for the meeting with President Tinubu on mid week.
OTN News further gathered that the Lagos Speaker arrived separately at about 2:50 pm and was led to the President’s office, while his colleagues, who had arrived earlier in two coaster buses, were taken through the forecourt route for the meeting.
Although the agenda of the meeting was not made known to the press, sources within the Villa hinted that it was connected to the recent leadership crisis in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Obasa as well as other Lagos law makers present at the meeting, declined to speak with State House correspondents who were eagerly waiting to be briefed after the meeting.
OTN News further reports that as the Lagos law makers rounded off their meeting with the President around 4.30 pm, they were heard singing in unison, the popular song of political loyalty, “On your mandate, we shall stand,” affirming their loyalty to the President.
