Oshiomole Throws Jibes at Atiku, Says "If Atiku Couldn’t Rebuild PDP, He Can’t Fix Nigeria"

Senator Adams Oshiomhole, a former national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the current representative of Edo North, has thrown a political dart at former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, saying the latter, who failed to fix his political party ultimate lacks the capability to lead or fix Nigeria.
According to Oshiomhole, Atiku’s failure to stabilise the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) undermines his claim that he can “fix” the country.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that Oshiomole made his position known during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where the APC stalwart faulted Atiku’s political record, pointing out that despite his long-standing stature within the PDP, the former vice president had not demonstrated effective leadership in the party.
“If Atiku as a former vice president under PDP could not fix PDP, he could not reconstruct it, he could not provide leadership and use his influence which he had built, how can you lay claim to fix Nigeria?” he queried.
OTN News observes that Oshiomhole's remarks is coming shortly after Atiku officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC), a coalition-supported party he is set to work with ahead of the 2027 general election.
Atiku announced his defection in a post on X, where he shared a photo of himself raising his ADC membership card with the caption: “It’s official.”
Oshiomhole berated the former Vice President, tracing the latter's previous exit from the APC, asserting that the former vice president left because he failed to clinch the party’s presidential nomination.
“He was once a member of the APC. He left because he lost the party’s presidential ticket,” the senator said.
