Ogun Observes 2025 Public Service Celebration

The Ogun state government has commenced the observance of 2025 Public Service Day celebration in the state, outlining range of activities which commenced with a Jumat Service at the Central Mosque, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta last Friday.

Announcing the activities earmarked for the celebration, the Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, stated that activities lined up included the Jumat prayer which held last Friday and the commemorative thanksgiving church service which held on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at the Government House Chapel, Isale-Igbehin, Abeokuta, by 8:30a.m

He revealed that the religious ceremonies will be followed by a diagnostic programme tagged: ‘Know Your Health Status’ on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at the Arcade Ground, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, by 9.00a.m, during which civil servants would have the opportunity of checking their health conditions.

Mr.Onasanyo further highlighted that other activities lined up for the week long celebration, are various indoor games competitions in which civil servants are billed to partake to be held on Wednesday 18th June, between 9.00a.m. and 12 noon at the Arcade Ground, Oke-Mosan, Governor’s office, while Football Matches for the Male and Female Teams from the Mainstream Civil Service and Parastatals will follow same day at the M.K.O. Abiola Sports Arena, Kuto, Abeokuta by 2 p.m.

The Head of Service revealed that the week-long activities will be rounded-off on Thursday, June 19, 2025 with a Public Service Day Lecture with the theme, “Managing the Public Service for Excellence and Service Delivery in the 21st Century: The Role of Innovation, Adaptation, and Technology” at the Obas’ Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta beginning at 10.00a.m
